Maria's was very nice girl. Always sweet and innocent. She tends to use baby talk and utters a little 'Uuu~'. Which makes her seem younger.
She takes interest in magic and witches to the point of having an extensive knowledge about them. And at being a witch, she is said to be one who is likely to surpass even her grandfather. However her love for magic made her have less interest in making friends or even going to school because a lot of children thought she was weird ,anyway.
She strongly believes magic exists. As well as witches. If you disagree with her ,she'd pull a tantrum on you. And among all of the witches, the one she loves most is the Golden Witch Beactrice.
She lived with her mother,Rosa Ushiromiya. Her father left the two of them before Maria was born so it's just the two of them now. We can't say she's a responsible mother,though. Since she leaves her home alone for 'work' and never comes back in a matter of days. There also times when the woman would abuse the child in both actions and words. But even so,Maria still loved her. Though she was slightly aware that her affection won't be returned.
